Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the perceptions of the guests of correctional institutions for the social obstacles they will face after exit.

To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed for the purpose of data collection, and the study sample consisted of (350) individuals, and the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS.

16) was used for the analysis of the questionnaire data.

The study found a range of results, most notably: There are great social obstacles facing guests of correctional institutions after they came out like not being accepted by the community and lack of interest in the family and the presence of negative perception in the community about these individuals.

Based on the findings of the study, a number of recommendations were presented including: correcting social misconceptions of special guests by members of the community through the media
