The purpose of this study was to identifying Science College faculty’s teaching performance level at Taibah University through their students’ evaluation of their skills in the domains of planning, implementation, evaluation, and their relationship with their students.
A survey of (61) elements was used after checking its validity and reliability.
The study sample was composed of (395) male and female Science College students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Geology majors.
Means, T-Test, and ANOVA were calculated to identify the significant difference.
The study have found that all of its teaching performance evaluation domains have scored a high level according to their means in the following order: faculty’s relationship with their students, implementation, planning, and evaluation.
The study have also found a significant difference based on gender in three domains (planning, implementation, and evaluation) in favor of male students while there is not any significant difference in the remaining variables; (the GPA, major, study level).
The study recommended the importance of identifying students’ levels, individual differences among them, and accordingly giving them the freedom of choosing the assignments most suitable for their abilities along with the importance of activating student counselling services.
The study have also recommended the necessity of providing the faculty with training workshops in the areas of Science teaching methods, different evaluation approaches, and electronic learning and its implementation in teaching.
