Certain serious incidents that have lately taken place such as the 9/11 incidents in New York and Charlie Hebdo shooting in Paris and in other places have huge impacts upon the political, social and literary aspects of the relationship between Islam and the West.

The apparent use of these new incidents, linked directly to Islam and Muslims in the latest novels, is considered a noteworthy phenomenon that needs careful consideration.

In the second and third chapters, the issue of the relationship between Islam and terrorism is critically explored and compared as depicted in the two novels.

Finally, the conclusion puts forward the findings and results of the discussions in the three previous chapters.

The method used throughout the work can be described as textual and critical relying on the novels as primary sources and other secondary sources casting additional light on the topic of the work.
