This study aimed to identify the degree of applying the concept of community school in Salfit government schools and obstacles or difficulties of that from viewpoint of male and female school principals.

The study also aims to identify the role of the variables of gender, years of service, qualification, and field of specialization according to the responses of school principals and about the degree of appliance of the concept of obstacles in the community schools.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the study contains a questionnaire which consists of (45) clauses that are divided into three areas first relates to the field of partnership with the local community, and the second area of partnership with parents, and the third related to the area of obstacles.

The study society contains the principals of government schools at Salfit governorate’s, their number was (72) principals, the researcher has selected sample survey which is related to the comprehensive study of the community which is small with the accordance of community.

The study results showed that the degree of applying the concept of community school which was great with a rate of (77 %), and the second area of partnership goes with the parents which goes high with the rate of (85 %), and the field of obstacles was the lowest one and the rate of (71 %), the study found no differences in principal response according to the degree of appliance which goes with the concept of community school due to demographic variables on the total score.

In light of these results, the researcher has recommended that the use of the views of parents and their experience in development policy, the researcher solved many problems at the school level.

The study has many recommendations; one of them is to hold workshops in order to increase the awareness of the concept of community school, and the statement of the power of solidarity efforts between the two sides in order to open a wider cooperating horizon.
