Abstract EN

This study aims at developing for individual's guidance program for the prevention of diabetes which has certain high risk factors for diabetes and how this program can be effective in the prevention of diabetes for these people.

The sample consisted of 30 individuals, these were selected purposefully based on the diagnosis of the university of Jordan hospital, and the individuals are characterized by having high risk factors.

The groups were divided into two sub samples: control and experimental groups.

The program consisted of (16) guidance sessions,.

The program was administered twice weekly and each session lasted for (60) minutes.

Pre and post measurement were carried out for both groups.

The results show that there was a statistical difference between the two groups in terms of risk factors.

The study concluded that a guidance program aimed at the prevention of diabetes was very effective in lowering the risk factors in the control group compared with the experimental group.
