Works as those left by Francis Knight, Maria Martin, Diego Hydo and Father Pierre Dan, Miguel de Servantes , Oklay, Charles and others are considered important sources in writing the history of Algeria.

Hence they covered the lack left by the Algerian local sources, particularly in the political field, nevertheless these sources themselves contributed to the propaganda for colonialism.

However, the most important question here is: what was the best method used to control the French society and made it accept war against Algeria.
