درجة ممارسة القيادة الأصيلة لدى مديري المدارس الثانوية في محافظات غزة و علاقتها ببعض المتغيرات

Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the concepts and characteristics of authentic leadership and showing the degree of practicing authentic leadership among secondary school Principals in Gaza Governorates and its relation with some variables, by using the descriptive approach and referring to previous literature review.

A questionnaire is designed consisting of (6)dimensions: Self-Awareness, Internalized Moral Perspective, Relational Transparency, Balanced Processing, Heart and Self-Discipline.

The questionnaire has been applied to a stratified random sample of (90) Principals and (474) teachers.

The study found that the degree of principals’ practice of the authentic leadership were intermediate.

It also found that there are significant differences between the teachers' and principals' estimates for authentic leadership in favor of principals, while there were no significant differences between the principals’ estimates due to gender and years of service variables.

The study recommended a set of recommendations to improve authentic leadership in schools.
