Abstract EN

This study aims at determining the possible processes to build up a wakf bank whose aim is to proffer charitable loans at a zero rate income.

These loans are subject to the principles of Islamic Sharia’a by means of wakf cash.

The study finds out that Islamic legislative obstacles are non-existent for wakf cash.

The possibility of wakf cash establishment constituting a wakf bank of which a part of its capital, which is formed as a result of its interests’ layout, is devoted to public subscription for charitable finance through interest-free loans’ granting.

The second part of wakf bank’s capital is allocated for investments in profitable projects to provide fees’ coverage and bank continuance optimization.

The study’s findings constitute a set of conditions for ‘wakfers’ aiming at making the bank management flexible.

There are no constraints on maintaining such conditions as long as they are in conformity with Islamic legislations.

The bank’s finance depends on wakf stocks, and on new financing formulas.

The latter are different wakf accounts in addition to the different deposits existing in Islamic banks.

Moreover, the bank’s purpose is to provide charitable financings for education, health, marriages and seasonal loans.

This constitutes the initial stage of wakf bank establishment, and is subject to development as the bank thrives and continues to keep up with societal needs.
