أثر استخدام استراتيجية البيت الدائري في التحصيل و تعديل التصورات البديلة في العلوم الحياتية لدى طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي بالأردن

Abstract EN

This study endeavors to investigate the effect of using roundhouse strategy in achievement of the ninth grade female students and modifying their alternative perceptions in the unit "cell and tissues of the human body".

To achieve this, research instruments were prepared which included: content analysis, achievement test, and diagnostic test of alternative perceptions, in addition to teaching guide based on roundhouse strategy.

The study sample consisted of (62) female students from ninth grade in the city of Rusaifa, Jordan, and were randomly divided into two groups: (31) students in the experimental group, studied using roundhouse strategy, and (31) students in the control group, studied using normal strategy, in the first semester of 2016/2017.

The results of analysis of covariance show statistically significant differences at the level (α < 0.05) which attributed to the impact of teaching based on roundhouse strategy in achievement and modifying alternative perceptions of ninth grade female students in Biology, and in favor of the experimental group.

The researchers recommended using roundhouse strategy in the teaching of all science materials that include difficult and complex concepts.
