Abstract EN

This study deals with the quality of library and Information science programs in Algerian Universities and the extent to which theycorrelate with Arabic and international quality standards for accreditation ofhigher education programs.It looks at human, and technological resources available in Algerian universities to carry out quality education programs.

That, in turn produces library science graduates with the required knowledge and skills to cater efficiently for the local needs of the profession and commensurate with the global developments in the library and information sector.

Suggestions are made to help improve and develop of library and information science programs in Algeria, therefore leading to quality education of the specialisation whileachieving and ensuring the quality sought for in Algerian higher education in general
