Abstract EN

Research Title: An Analytical Study of: Shia Songs.

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and may Allah exalt the mention and send peace to the last of all prophets, his family and all of his companions.

Shia Songs are poetic verses and lyrics about religious topics in line with Shia’s Ideology (Shiism).

They also deal with other social topics.

Because of that reason these songs are very valuable for the Shia as they make them follow what their Mullahs aim at.

The Shia used to listen to these songs inside their worship places (Hussainiyat) in the past.

A new epoch begun after that and they made these songs as video clips.

The Shia songs deals with different topics and many of them are derived from the beliefs of the Twelver Shia, like: exaggeration when it comes to their leaders, invoking them and seeking blessing from their graves.

They also include the distortion of historical events, their belief in raj'ah (the belief that dead people will come back to life in this world) and the belief in their absent imam, as well as a falsification of that which happened between the Prophet’s Companions (May Allah be pleased with all of them).

The Shia songs are distinguished by certain characteristics, which focus on agitation of emotions and insertion of illogical beliefs.

This research treated some examples of these songs, analyzed and refuted the deviant beliefs in them.

The most important suggestions that this study concluded is as follows: the necessity of confronting this danger by writing further researches that reveal the contains of these songs, and appealing to block the channels and websites that spread these corrupted beliefs, and trying to find a good and beneficial substitute for the youths of this nation
