Abstract EN

This study investigates the historical roots of the formation of Jordanian identity through examining the development of regional, international and demographic changes and their role in arousing political awareness and patriotism within the citizens of the Eastern Bank of Jordan after regional division became a reality and de-centered Arabic nationalism.

This study investigates diaries, modern newspapers, the British documents in that period along with some new resources which tackle the political history of the Jordanian Eastern Bank.

The study reports that the Jordanian patriotic movement shaped its own national identity despite internal and foreign threats that tried to prevent its formation along with its time and demographic dimensions despite the active political awareness of the citizens of the Eastern Bank of Jordan
