Abstract EN

The study aims at identifying the status quo of wise leadership indicators in some selected Arab countries at each level of the examined indicators, examining the development of the portion of direct foreign investments in the Arab countries and then examining the impact of wise leadership indicators on direct foreign investments in them.

The study is based on the hypothesis that direct foreign investment as a (dependent) factor increases with the increase of wise leadership indicators as an independent factor.

The analysis of the study indicators reveals that the relationship between direct foreign investment indicator as a ratio of gross local product and wise leadership indicators is in a positive direct proportion, namely, the countries with a high rank in direct foreign investments have a high rank in wise leadership indicators.

The analysis also indicates a statistically significant coefficient relationship between the indicator of direct foreign investment and the following wise leadership indicators (the right of expression and questioning, political stability, and corruption perceptions), while there is no significant relationship with the following indicators (government efficiency, the burden of organization and discipline) as a result of the weakness of Arab economic structures, the prevalence of bureaucratic tendency, and the need of the state for those indicators as they are important for attracting foreign investments
