دور موسى بن أبي العافية في الصراع الفاطمي و الأموي بالأندلس (297-326 ه 910-1031 م)‎

Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of Mosa ibn Abi Al’afiya in the conflict between Umayyads in Andalusia and Fatimids in Morocco, in the 4th Century A.H.

(10th Century).

Most Umayyad and Fatimid allies had loyalty and support for only one of them, but ibn Abi Al’afiya was an ally for both; while he declared his loyalty to the Fatimids in the beginning of their succession, strikingly, he renounced them and declared his loyalty to Nasser Umayyad when he declared himself the Caliph in 317 A.H.

Ibn Abi Al’afiya aspired to establish a state for him and for his family, and therefore, he followed his own political interests in his loyalty to both countries.

He was distinguished for his political ambitions and sharp vision, taking advantage of Almknasah temper, which supported him in all his stands, and succeeded in earning enormous privileges from both countries, in addition to an unparalleled authority in far Morocco, but death stopped him from achieving his dream as he passed away in 326 A.H.
