Abstract EN

This study aims to detect some mechanisms of text cohesion at al-Baqellan in his book "I'jaz al-Qur'an", in which he affirmed that Qur'an's regulation and cohesion is a significant and effective aspect of the miracle of Qur'an.

The significance of al-Baqellani emerges in this field, as a significant and articular point in the history of scholars who searched in the miracle of Qur'an –in his era- since he was concerned of analyzing a whole sura, and almost complete poetic texts.

Before his era, critic studies relied on selecting one line of poetry, or one sentence of prose, without considering the whole text.

Critics' partial view to the text did not develop into an integrated view, rather stopped at expression's eloquence, meaning quality and syntax irregular situation.

The study of al-Baqellani is a significant link to reveal some aspects of text cohesion in general, and to confirm the uniqueness of the Holy Qur'an in organization, cohesion and harmony, which is al-Baqellani's mission in his book.

This is to reveal to the recipient a conceded notion with no debate that the Qur'anic message is distinctive than any other human messages.

It has be emphasized that this research is not concerned with the theory of text cohesion and text concept, as of terminology and emergence, nor concepts and terminologies in our Arabic critics nor in the Western critics, except where bits are required.

It also does not track back nor trace multiple theoretical interpretations and terminologies and their debates.

Nor to track back the emergence of theory in the modern Arab critics, except in cases required to prove al-Baqellani's early method in discussing text cohesion to prove the miracle of Qur'an, within the limits where al-Baqellani's texts are not exaggerated to suit the theory of text cohesion.

Rather, define what can be used to discuss the aspects of originality in al-Baqellani's method to prove the miracle of Qur'an, bearing in mind that this theory and its applications on the Holy Qur'an, became more obvious in later eras, as at al-Siyouti, al-Beqa'I and al-Zarkashi.
