Abstract EN

The topic of water is one of the vital topics in the historical records though it scarcely mentioned and the fear is in touch with it either it was dominant on the character of the Arabic individual or it was guided to the context of the historical events.

The fear was not consequent from something unknown, but it causes belonged to what was precipitated in the mind of Arabic individual about streams that contributed in distending the factor of fear.

It is not far from the mind of Arabs ,what was recited in the Holy Quran is the story flooding in addition to the various legend in the civilization of Mediterranean region , therefore the concept of water is equivalent to the fear in Arabs.

In the induction of the historical records that studied water, the structure of these texts constitute allusive that its elements which can be isolated to diagnose its indications because water in these records from either a part from space to the historical novel due to it is motivated to be studied.

The matter does not stop to this point but water mentioned as a problem of the historical event, therefore, it is observed that water does not take its natural worth, so it is motivated to be studied.

The present research is divided into introduction and two sections.

The introduction is a brief of fear of water in the mission era.

The first section is about "The prohibition from crossing Water " it includes the topics that leaders and Khulafa talked about crossing water fearing of death.

The second section is about the factor of fear and hesitation.

It stated the struggle of Arab person between the fear of water and the factor of fear from its penetrating that leads to death.

Finally, the conclusion summed up the most important results that researcher has reached.
