Abstract EN

This paper explores the concepts of heroic criminals and social banditry of two public figures in different communities, popular cultures, and varied nationalities.

It presents a full description of the life of Ned Kelly and Robin Hood to the influential biographical events that affect the course of their lives.

It looks for the possibilities and reasons which led them to be outlaws in their societies.

Moreover, it gives a comparison between the two heroic figures concentrating on the violent and unusual actions that led them to be social criminals.

Furthermore, it focuses on analysing each character and pointing out some traits besides the similarities and differences between them.
