معوقات تعلم الرياضيات للمرحلة الأساسية في البادية الشمالية الشرقية في الأردن من وجهة نظر الطلبة

Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to identify the obstacles of learning mathematics in North-East Badia in Jordan as perceived by students.

The obstacles are categorized into four domains: obstacles related to textbooks, obstacles related to students, obstacles related to teachers and obstacles related to the educational environment.

The population of the study consist of (12554) primary students in North-eastern Badia in Jordan for the academic year 2013/2014.

The sample of the study consist of (577) students (382 males and 195 females) randomly chosen.

Results obtained from the study reveal that the average of the obstacles of learning mathematics as perceived by students is (2.94) out of 5, which is medium level rank.

Significant statistical differences are revealed at (α= 0.05) among students’ perspectives of bastilles due to the level of achievement in favour of low achievers.

No significant statistical differences are revealed among students’ perspectives of obstacles due to gender.

In the light of these results, the study proposes some recommendations.
