Abstract EN

Muslims paid attention to criticism of the Sunnah and scrutinized from the time of the Prophet - peace be upon him - to this day and are still, however, Orientalists promoted suspicion that Muslims were interested only in the narration of Sunnah, and did not care about its texts.

So this research came to show that Orientalists mistaken in their view, and that hadith scholars did all their efforts to deal with the prophetic texts as they dealt with the grounds and did not distinguish between the two as claimed by the Orientalists and their affected Muslims.

Through this research it's shown that the hadith' texts' criticism came sequenced from the era of the Companions to the era of "Abdul Rahman bin Yahya Al-Yamani Al-Mu'allami" and received apparent interest and careful attention by hadith scholars.

This research clarified that all what they had studied in the theoretical side they had applied it in the practical side.

This tells us about the evolution of the scientific method in the Islamic studies, demonstrated through the origins and rules of Hadith science.
