Abstract EN

The research tackled the problem of love and death and its platonic origins, the researcher noticed the close relation between love and death in many examples of the Sufi poetry.

This relation is repeated obviously, therefore, the researcher attempted to interpret the this phenomena first and second to discover its origin.

The reason behind trying to reveal the origin of this phenomena in the platonic poetry is the resemblance between both types of poetry, where the woman with its pure image which is the subject that both types of poetry are based on in expressing their poetic experience.

The research included a preface, three sections and a prologue.

In the preface the researcher explained the meaning of the problem.

In the first chapter, images of this problem in the Sufi poetry are tackled.

The second section is dedicated for the platonic origins of the problem concerning love and death.

In the third chapter, the researcher dealt with the reasons that justify choosing the platonic origins of the love and death problem.

In the prologue, the main results were mentioned.
