The BRICS composed of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) is the result of international changes and a more attractive source for emerging economies.
These countries have identified the BRIC concept, as a group in 2009.
After South Africa's accession in 2010, a shift from a general term for investment to BRICS group the potential to challenge the unipolar hegemony of the West on the world economy that could not avoid the currency and financial crisis in 2008 that has touched most countries because of the interdependence of world economies.
But the impact of the global economic crisis, was less on the BRICs, which established a new development bank, and a reserve fund, as an alternative to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, in order to form a new global pole

Le BRICS composé du Brésil, de la Russie, de l'Inde et de la Chine (BRIC) est le résultat de changements internationaux et d'une source plus attrayante pour les économies émergentes.
Ces pays ont identifié le concept BRIC en tant que groupe en 2009.
Après, l'adhésion de l'Afrique du Sud en 2010, un passage d'un terme général pour l'investissement au BRICS a permis de remettre en question l'hégémonie unipolaire de l'Occident sur l'économie mondiale qui n'a pas pu éviter la crise monétaire et financière en 2008 qui a touché la plupart des pays en raison de l'interdépendance des économies mondiales.
Mais, l'impact de la crise économique mondiale a été moins élevé sur le groupe BRICS, qui a créé une nouvelle banque de développement et un fonds de réserve, en alternative à la Banque mondiale et au Fonds monétaire international, afin de former un nouveau pôle mondial
