Abstract EN

This study aimed at clarifying the concept and nature of management obligations towards employees and employees' obligations towards management, besides determining the concepts and dimensions of quality of work environment.

The study also aimed at identifying the impact of each of them on the quality of work environment in the governmental organizations in the United Arab Emirates.

To achieve this goal, various studies related to management obligations, employees' obligations and quality of work environment have been explored and analysed with focus on the relationship between employees' obligations and management obligations and the quality of work environment.

The study found that there was a significant impact of employees' expectations and commitment to implement their obligations towards management on the quality of work environment.

In addition, there was a significant impact of management expectations and commitment to implement their obligations towards employees on the quality of work environment.

The study made several recommendations, including providing employees with the feeling of stability and security at work, decreasing work turnover, developing the concept of mutual obligations for both employees and management, encouraging creative thinking among employees and establishing appropriate organizational atmosphere.
