Abstract EN

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had some revelation issues with respect to how and when it came down, as well as mutual recitation of the Quran.

Some of these issues worth studying are concerned with the cessation of revelation –sometimes- when he needed it.

This has occurred often in some incidents.

The expression of "cessation of revelation" has been mentioned in the relations in various terms such as interruption, intermission, suspension, discontinuance and stagnance.

This study begins with defining revelation and its cessation, the nature of Allah's revelation and how it came down to His prophet, and the latter's relationship with Gabriel.

It particularly highlights issues of cessation of revelation whose cause could be a matter related to the prophet himself or his companions.

After that, it tackles in details the revelation period and the scholars' quarrel over its time and duration.

Furthermore, the study deals with the influence of cessation of revelation with regard to many aspects: its influence on the Prophet, its influence on believers, and its influence on hypocrites.

The researcher concluded with the need to take advantage of different issues and influences of cessation of revelation by callers and reformers, as well as the need to collect, study, and examine the relations of cessation of revelation.
