It is necessary to understand that the strategic importance of the Sahel region, to the West, is not a recent issue.

But, the novelty lies in the security complex of the two geostrategic spaces.

On the one hand, the United states enforces an approach of new spread in Africa and the Sahel region.

On the other hand, France is indecisive about its foreign policy, whether to abide to its historical franco-africa policy or to allow the European way.

All this happened under a powerful competition of hina and other emerging powers.
