Abstract EN
The phonetic writing which « Al Khalil Ibn Ahmad » built on his theoretical principles in prosody focuses on the articulation sounds of the language, and modernists revitalised this kind of the writing in the phonetic lesson, but they considered vowels long movements unlike what the ancient people proclaimed who dealt with vowels as silent letters.
This research takes both the two opinions in the study and the analysis, through the reference to the justifications which they depended in analysis of vowel’s nature, especially the opinion of modernists who inserted vowels in the domain of vowels, without a phonetic research that focuses on the achievements of the material development which known by the phonetics laboratories.
The research summarizes eventually to preponderance of the opinion in agreement with the Arabic language nature
