Abstract EN
Objective : The study aimed to determine the impact of the social and demographic characteristics of the mothers on cesarean section in the city of Batna East of Algiers).
Study Design : Data was collected through a cross sectional survey from of a proportionate nonprobability sample of 518 women delivering in the maternity in Batna.
Methods: compatibility coefficient and pairing coefficient.
Results : - Caesarean section rate was 22.8 % of all births.
- Cesarean delivery was significantly associated with maternal age,education level, and the stratum of residence.
-The relationship is weak between occupation and cesarean section.
