Abstract EN

his research deals with the fcirm of government that was established by the various constitutions of Sudan republic, starting with the Constitution of autononny down to a the referendum on self-determination for southern Sudan, which was adopted by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the Sudanese government and the SPLM Sudan in 2005 by which ended the war between the North and the South, one of its most important results was the right of self-determination for southern Sudan, this right was again confirmed in the Interim Constitution of the Sudan in 2005, which itself resulted as one of the agreement's entitlements.

The importance of this research comes from the fact that the right of self-determination for southern Sudan has been a milestone in the constitutional and political life in Sudan, especially after the result of the referendum in July 2011 came for the sake of the separation.

This research aims to draw attention to the constitutional life in Sudan since the Constitution of autonomy and its ironies and its impact on the unity of Sudan, In order to take lessons for the next Constitution of Sudan to come responsive to the real needs of the people in the issues of power and governance, the research also addresses the pending issues that resulted from the separation and still haunt the stability and peace in Sudan.

The research also came with results and recommendations that what the country has reached from splitting and economic decline was a natural outgrowth of the unbalanced policies in the matters of governance, power and the distribution of wealth, the constitutions and legislation that was issued under these manners had a significant impact in the form of governing, which did not succeed in creating the sufficient political and constitutional balance to maintain the unity of Sudan.

Authorities must seek political solutions to resolve,the problems of Sudan and to have the necessary wisdom and transparency in order not to drag the country in further Problems resulting from the bad form of governing.
