Abstract EN

This research focuses on the rights and freedoms in the upcoming constitution of Sudan Republic.

What rights and freedoms we hope for the upcoming constitution to include compared to the freedoms and rights in the 2005 Sudan’s interim constitution.

What needs to be added and adjusted for the upcoming constitution in order to respond to people‘s hopes in freedom, democracy and good governance.

The problem of the research is that constitution amendments are not a smooth process, it needs a lot of effort, transparency, and vision for the constitutions to achieve their goals.

The importance of the research comes from the freedoms and rights themselves which need to be stressed and written in the constitution.

The research aims to focus on promoting rights and freedoms through the constitution texts.

The research also aims to stress the importance for the upcoming constitution to include effective mechanisms and means to stop violations against rights and freedoms and to stop violations before they occur.

In the case of any violations against freedoms and rights there must be transparent and effective mechanisms to punish the violators.

Information must be shared with the public in transparency, professionalism and selflessness.

The research came with number of findings and recommendations which were concluded in suggestions to reform the upcoming constitution and which were solved through the research findings
