In his essay entitled “Criticism of Kant’s Image of Islam”, the Egyptian researcher Professor Muhammad Othman Al-Khasht approaches one of the rarest issues in the relationship between Islam and the West: the German philosopher Hegel’s philosophical coverage of the centrality of Western civilization, and the negative stance toward Islam in particular.
Through this epistemological feature, we are able to open an additional and major gate of research in the sphere of modern Orientalism, especially in demonstrating the previously neglected Western historical consciousness toward Islam.

Sous le titre "Critique de l'image de l'Islam chez HEGEL", l'étude du chercheur égyptien Mohammad Othman El-KHECHT aborde une des rares questions de la relation Islam-Occident, qui est la couverture philosophique opérée par le philosophe allemand HEGEL pour l'occidentalo-centrisme civilisationnel, et l'attitude négative envers l'Islam justement.
Par le biais de cette particularité épistémologique de l'étude on ouvrirait une issue supplémentaire et spécifique sur les études de l'orientalisme contemporain, notamment pour éclaircir ce qu'on a passé sous silence dans la conscience historique occidentale vis-à-vis de l'Islam.
