The study dealt with the Ottoman-Qatari relations since the arrival of the Ottomans in Qatar in 1871, followed by the political circumstances that prevailed in these relations during different historical periods.

The attention of the international powers included Britain, the Al-Thani family and the Ottoman rulers.

The study traces the political developments and transformations witnessed in the Qatar Peninsula through historical sources, taking into consideration the political data in the region and the consequent competition between the internal and external forces in the Ottoman-Qatari relations on the ground and the international crises that accompanied these relations.

The study helps us to understand the political conditions that have afflicted the region and the renaissance that have helped us to understand our contemporary issues
