Fibroepithelial ureteral polyps (FUP) are rare benign tumors, arising from a mesodermal origin.
FUP are generally mistaken for upper tract urothelial carcinomas.
We report a case of a FUP of the left distal ureter in a 48-year-old male, protruding into the bladder, managed by endoscopic resection, with a recurrence after a 3-month follow-up.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of recurrence after 3 months noted in English and French literature.

Le polype fibro-épithélial de l’uretère (PFE) est une tumeur bénigne d’origine mésodermique, principal diagnostic différentiel de la localisation urétérale d’une tumeur urothéliale bien que peu rapporté dans la littérature.
Nous décrivons le cas d’un homme de 48 ans avec un PFE de l’uretère distal gauche faisant protrusion dans la vessie ayant présenté une récidive trois mois après une résection initiale complète de la lésion.
À notre connaissance, il s’agit du premier cas décrit de récidive, après 3 mois de surveillance dans la littérature francophone et anglophone.
