Abstract EN

Multiple roles are required by the university in the field of student affairs and service in conjunction with the multiplicity of problems related to students, especially when problems solving has become one of the most important goals the university is seeking to achieve.

Also, university interest in students' problem solving is considered an important factor from aspects of public opinion respect and appreciation of efforts exerted in that subject.

As a result, the university has started continuing research for the best means that help to activate its role in solving these problems and achieving the desired goals; not to be introverted away from technological progress the world is witnessing every day.

Based on the aforementioned objectives, the present study aims to conceptualize a proposal that would activate the role of university in solving problems facing the students while using Facebook through realizing of such problems as perceived by students besides monitoring of the most important emerging ones and developing suggested solutions for such problems.

Further, the study is sought to provide procedural recommendations to overcome obstacles preventing the university from performing its role in such a manner that suits with the technological features and facilities that characterize Facebook as the largest social networking site that comprises the largest population of internet users in general and students in particular, as well as proposing a plurality of mechanisms to implement such recommendations and bring them into reality in a scientific approach that is consistent with nature of the problems monitored throughout the research study by the judging committee.
