تحليل أسئلة اختبارات الشهادة الثانوية العامة لمادة الرياضيات بالجمهورية اليمنية في ضوء التصنيفات الحديثة للأهداف التعليمية

Abstract EN

The goal of this research is analyzing of the questions of Secondary School Certificate examinations for mathematical course in Republic of Yemen, in order to discover the cognitive levels that represent according to the modern classifications of educational objectives.

The research sample consisted of (823) questions of Secondary School Certificate examinations for mathematical course in Republic of Yemen for the years from (2010-2011 to 2014-2015).

And to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on the analysis of the content of the questions items by the analysis of the six levels of the cognitive domain of Bloom’s Taxonomy amending.

As well as the six levels of Marzano and Kendall classifications and compared the two levels to each other.

The result showed that the items of questions have been concentrated in the lower levels (remembrance, understanding and application) at the levels of Bloom’s taxonomy with average (91.98%), while the questions items of higher level (analysis, evaluation and creativity) represented lower rate which did not exceed (8.02%).

The results also showed that the questions items of Secondary School were limited to the first three levels (retrieval, understanding and analysis) at Marzano and Kendall classifications levels, where it focused heavily on loopback level with average (59.78%) followed by understanding level with (30.98%).

while the level of analysis did not exceed only the rate (9.23%), where the questions items of this examinations did not take into account the levels of (employment knowledge, beyond knowledge and self-reflection system).
