The Mawalis (2vv G.vv $vv G) are the non-Arab Muslims who became membersin theArabianstateandsocietyduringthe Islamic conquest.

The systemofWalaa (A/.

G) was the reason behind the arabization of the Mawalis.

Their third generation contributed to the production of poetry because they mastered Arabic and absorbed its culture.

In the Omayyad period, nearly one hundred poets appeared among theMawalis.Most of themwere mediocre, obscure or unknown.

The purpose of this research is to investigate how many chosen citations were used of the Mawalis’ poetry by different groups like (tribes’poetrycollectionmakers,individualpoetrycollectionmakers, linguists, grammarians, anthologies collectors, transmitters of poetry, and authors of other different books, etc.).

Each mentioned group has its own attitude towards the Mawalis’ poetry.

This research aims at detecting each group’s attitude and the reason behind it.

Theresearch revealed that these groups had adopted different criteria of choosing poetry which led to the neglecting or reducing interest in the Mawalis’ poems.Onthe other hand, they focusedonpoemswhich were composed by contemporary pure Arabs.

The citation of the Mawlis’ poetry was represented as single verses or pieces of poem and rarely as long or complete poems.
