Abstract EN

Thecurrent research emerges from the arguement’s being a practice emanating fromrhetorics, having itsmechanicsthatwere appliedonthe FarewellSermon, being an oral sermon with its own speciality as far as the incident and position, setting, then the speaker as well as the language are concerned.

The research has investigated the mechanics of arguement in the sermon through four pivots; the first builds the argumentative platform in which the researcher focuses on the argumentative basics and the rhetorics of position in the sermon.

This pivot does not ignore studying the authority of the orator and the authority of the people.

The second pivot aims at tracing the mechanics of logical arguements in the sermon; since this type of mechanics elicits its persuasive strength from the logical,mathematicalandformalmethodsinprovingandbuilldsanescalatorof arguementwithinthemindsoftheaddressees.Thus,wehavestudiedtheoratory syllogism, citation, exchange, division, distribution, and attitude Afterwards,thethirdpivotfocusesonstudyingtherhetoricalmechanicsandthe persuasive role in the sermon.

Thus, the researcher has studied interrogation, imperative inhibition, and emphasis.

Then the researcher studied the reverse with all its various forms in the sermon.

Such reverse is represented in verbal reverse,attentiveness,advancinganddelaying,ellipsis,aswellasmonitoringthe mechanics of imaging and directing it argumentatively As for the last pivot, it handles the gesture and the non-verbal mechanics of persuasion, which is an argumentative deliberative dimension that has to do withthe oral discourse, aswell as thewrittendiscourse.
