Abstract EN

This study aims at designing a model to bridge the gap between research and practice in educational administration.

The study used the descriptive approach through systematic review of literature, previous studies and Knowledge transfer models.

The analysis of literature and previous studies showed a general agreement on the existence of a gap between research and practice in educational administration and on the necessity to bridge that gap.

But there is controversy on which supercedes the other: the research or practice.

Added to it is the reticence on the role of other parties that may be helpful in the bridging process.

Hence this study drew upon knowledge transfer models that prevail in the business literature.

The study discussed a number of models and concluded with designing a two-part model the first of which comprises seven phases of knowledge transfer while the other consists of four circles representing the influential parties in knowledge transfer in educational administration.

The study presented a number of recommendations.
