Abstract EN

The present study aims at identifying the degree of college students’ practices of the educational values and the impact of gender and educational level on these values.

The participants in the study consisted of (200) students selected randomly from the college of education at Kuwait university.

To achieve the purpose of the study, a questionnaire was developed to measure the educational values which were distributed on five areas : religious values, social values economic values, aesthetic values and political values.

To answer the study questions, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Program (SPSS) was employed to calculate the means, standard deviations of the data.

A series of t-test were calculated to find out the significant differences between the gender and the educational level variables.

The findings of the study were as follows : -The overall means for the students’ practices of the educational values for all values was (2) out (5) grades, which reflects a low / weak practice.

-The practice of values according to the domain of values among the participants in the study came in the following order: the religious values-the social values-the economic values-the political values, and the aesthetic values.

- There were significant statistical differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the degree of college students’ practices of the educational values attributed to the variable of gender in favor of females.

- There were no significant statistical differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the degree of college students’ practices of the educational values attributed to the educational level variable.

And finally, a number of recommendations have been formulated in light of the outcomes of the study.
