Abstract EN

High competitive business environment, and especially the nowadays revolution of information and communication push the companies to change its strategies.

They moved from the traditional resources of production-capital, land and labor to the knowledge as a strategic resource.

Today organizations are trying to find out the possibility of managing this knowledge, how can they get it? Store and protect it? And the most important think is how to apply it to improve their performance and access a high sustainable level; this huge target; the sustainable performance have a lot of advantages which are unless the good financial results, taking into account the workers benefits, social responsibility, natural environment, as well as the future generations.

That’s why this research is analyzing the role of knowledge management in increasing the sustainable performance of an economic organization; and as a case study it’s chosen SOMIPHOS Company –Tebessa, Algeria.

This study confirms a strong correlation between knowledge management and improving sustainable performance.

At the end this research finds out some conclusions and recommendations which are very important and applicable for contributing the effectiveness/efficiency to improve the sustainable performance of this company and all similar institutions
