Abstract EN

The main aim of the study was to explore the relationship between Psychosocial Development (Ego Virtues) and locus of control, with Future anxiety and all its dimensions among adolescents in High School Students in M’sila city (Algeria).

To achieve these aims the researchers applied the descriptive correlational design.

The study sample consisted of (368) adolescents, 155 males and 213 females (ages 15 through 20 years) randomly selected by the proportional stratification method.

The following tools were used: (PIES-SF) The Psychosocial Inventory of Ego Strength - Short Form (Markstrom et al., 2007), translated in Arabic by Al- Ghamdi (2010), Rotter's (1966) locus of control scale translated in Arabic by Kafafi (1982), and Future anxiety Test, designed by (shokair, 2005).

The results showed the following : •There is a negative relationship between the psychosocial development, and Future anxiety including all its dimensions.

•There is a positive relationship between the locus of control, and Future anxiety including all its dimensions
