Because of the importance of the role played by emotional intelligence in saving mental health care, this study attempts to identify the psychological and emotional characteristics of the student trained at École Normale Supérieure Bouzaréah and the relationship between emotional intelligence and stress and mental health.

The results of the study revealed that emotional intelligence as a trait is a positive indicator of mental health in light of the stress that the student teacher faces
