Islamic banking is characterized by its Shari'ah rules, diversified financing modalities, objective criteria and others characteristics not available in other conventional financing systems, as well as the achievements of Islamic banks, the size of its operations, the increasing number of depositors and its spread all over the world.

The principles and the rules of Islamic finance confirm that they could generally finance the real needs a non-inflationary financing to promote stability and consolidate sustainable economic development.

Therefore, this study comes to shed light on the subject of the transformation to Islamic banking in Algeria from various aspects, starting with its reasons, types, sources and the Shari'ah judgment of transformation.

It also aims to identify the main reasons and motives for the transformation process, in addition to the main conditions and requirements for the success of the transition to Islamic banking in Algeria.
