The Islamic financial industry has witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, whichhascontributed to the emergence of Islamic investment funds as a financial institution that collects savings from investors and re-employs them in accordance with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia.

Thisstudy aims to identify the nature of Islamic investment funds,mechanisms for its establishment and the performance of its functions.

The study concluded that Islamic investment funds play an essential role in finding and diversifyingopportunitiesfor Muslim and non-Muslim investors, So it must provide an investment and regulatory environment suitable that allows it to develop its performance and raising its returns
