Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of empowerment of workers in the health sector and its impact on organizational citizenship behaviors for workers at government hospitals in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia.

To achieve the objectives of the study, descriptive analytical methods were utilized and a questionnaire was prepared for the purpose of gathering data from a sample of (720) staff members at nine government hospitals representing (50%) of government hospitals in Riyadh.

Several statistical methods were utilized to analyze data, including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression method.

Results indicate good level of empowerment for workers at government hospitals, as well as good degrees of organizational citizenship behaviors.

Positive significant correlation was observed between all dimensions of employee empowerment and organizational citizenship behaviors.

Results also indicate that employee empowerment has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behaviors.

The study emphasized the role of empowerment and its impact on organizational citizenship behaviors.

Based on the findings of the several recommendations have been made, including training to improve skills and abilities of staff to carry on their job responsibilities and increase their sense of empowerment.
