Interpretation of Modawana’s problematic words in different ways can be considered one of the most significant reasons behind the disagreement between the Malikite scholars on such issues.

This study clearly shows that these interpretations were supported by a number of scientific arguments.

It also proves that the last generation of Malikite scholars has exposed them to a serious scientific criticism to choose the most accepted and reliable ones.
