Abstract EN

To examine the effectiveness of direct instruction strategy on developing some reading comprehension skills in pupils with learning disabilities , reading comprehension scale and a training program were administrated to 7 – 9 years old LD pupils with 90 – 92 IQ divided into two matched groups ( i.e.

experimental and control ) .

Results revealed the presence of statistically differences in reading comprehension between both groups in post-application favoring the experimental one , and the presence of such differences for experimental group in pre-and post application favoring the post one .

No statically significant differences were found between both post application and follow-up for experimental group
