This study aims to identify :the challenges facing the integration of blind or visually impaired female students at the university level, from theirlt shows , as well, and the effect of some variables, such as: student major, level of education and the level of disability .
point of view.
The study show the impact of these factors on their integration from the students.
The Study was Conducted at Qassim University.
A group of 19 blind or visually impaired, female students , participated in the study The researcher used mainly questionnaires and surveys to collect information from the students , during the field study point of view.
Study findings The visually impaired female students at the university level recognision of the challenges facing their academic progress , varies upon the following factors: The student Major at the university: Students who are “ special education “ major , are more aware of the challenges facing their academic progress The student level of study (graduates vs.
undergraduates): Study shows that visually impaired female graduates are in fact more aware of the challenges facing their academic progress The disability level and severity: The awareness level proportionally increased with disability level .
As the blind students showed more awareness versus other cases of visually impaired students.
Academic excellence (Student Average): The study showed , as well that the level of awareness increased rabidly, against the student academic excellence In general , almost the biggest challenge facing the integration of visually impaired female students at the university level is academic- related issues
