Abstract EN

The present study aimed at identifying the reactivity of fetal activity to a number of different sound effects.

Thus, the impact of a set of sound effects (i.e., lecture, the Holy Qur'an, soft music with a female voice and Rock music) on the fetal activity, represented in a set of responses (i.e.

variation of FHR/minute, acceleration, deceleration and FM numbers per NST), using CTG (Cardiotocography).

It was applied to (71) pregnant women in Karak Hospital, Jordan.

Results illustrated that there were statistically significant differences of (FHR) attributed to the type of sound effect.

It also illustrated that there were statistically significant differences in acceleration.

In addition, there were no differences in deceleration.
