The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the big five of personality factors and the decision-making.
The sample is composed of 50 executives working at Youth Institutions Office.
Two tests were used: The first was the model of the five major factors of personality by Costa & McCrae (1992), and through sentences divided into five items: neuroticism, Extraversion, openness to experience, Agreeability and Conscience.
The second test aimed to measure a person's ability to make effective decisions.
The results showed a statistically significant relationship between the five major factors of personality and decision making.
