Abstract EN

The problem of securing food has, for several decades, been one of the serious challenges that face the economic, social and political stability in the Arab World.

Despite the support and reform policies, the Arab agricultural production remained in constant and steady decline because of multiple negative factors that increased the Arab food gap; some are internal factors such as the difficult climatic conditions, water scarcity, low productivity and the weakness of the applied domestic agricultural policies.

Some factors are external such as the effects of the global economic changes mainly the increase in food prices in global markets and the decline in global supply, that's what aggravated the problem and its emergence seriously.
