Hotel industry and tourism have played a significant role in transformation of business activities that share the bulk of today's economy.
Service quality is a key factor for success in any service industry.
The attraction of serviced apartments is that they offer the comfort and facilities of a hotel, with the privacy and facilities of home ’’Your Home Away From Home”.
These furnished apartments are establishments designed to provide hotel services primarily to permanent occupants, rather tlian travelers, or tlie guests who stay for longer periods, often for years, also available for short-term stays, which provides amenities for daily use.
Serviced apartments can be less expensive than equivalent hotel rooms as well as the corresponding increase in the level of sophistication of travelers; interest in serviced apartments has risen.
Benefits may include more space and privacy, convenience when traveling with a family and the savings associated with cooking one's own meals in the apartment The paper aims to investigate the factors that measure different service quality levels among customers during their stays in liie serviced apartments in Cairo.
The results indicate that there are four factors of service marketing mix affecting the service quality including 1) product, 2) price, 3) place, and 4) people.
Issues relating to the people play a major role in mfluencing the development of service quality in serviced apartments.
A sample of six hotels (different categories) in Cairo was chosen to clarify the available fecilities.
These hotels are much like apartment building and residential suites except for certam hotel services like maid and valet service often has dining facilities.
Lodging is available on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.
